Spend the day with Pete Moors who is Chairman of The Dorset Coppice Group.  Make your own hurdle to take home with you.
Cost: £60.00 plus the cost of materials.
Wear warm practical clothing.
Bring a packed lunch.

Learn the basics of laying a hedge, and the reasons why and where to lay. 
 Bring a  packed Lunch, and wear warm, practical clothing for working in the woods
which should include safety footwear and strong gloves.
Bring your own Billhook and bow saw, if you've got them.

Bean Pole Day - Saturday April 17th 2010

Celebrating the humble hazel beanpole! 

National Beanpole week ! Runs from April 17th - 25th
 
The idea of national Bean Pole Week is to encourages gardeners to use hazel beanpoles sourced from British woods - rather than use imported bamboo canes.  By buying hazel beanpoles you are helping to support local woodland craft workers, woodland management and wildlife.

As part of the national celebrations The Dorset Coppice Group hold their own event at The Living Classroom, Bonsley Wood.


Saturday April 17th.

Local suppliers of beanpoles and peasticks and a wide varity of products for use in your home and garden will be on sale on the day.
